We
are back from our short vacation in warm Florida, where we spent Thanksgiving
with family. I like small get away like this, it's so nice to get away
once in a while and change environments, even though it's hard to travel
with a toddler, it's was a lot of fun to be in Florida! I do think Penda
had a great time too, just like we did. He enjoyed being with his grandparents
and other relatives, seeing animals at the nature walks we took and playing
at the beach.

Enjoying
the sand at the beach

My son
I remember when you were born
With your eyes half open
Learning to launch on and breastfeed
I remember when you first roll over and your first crawl
And then I took you to Africa
You were fascinated by the sand
And you tasted Oshifima for the first time
Now is one of your favorite foods
You are now learning to count and saying words
It's hard to imagine
That one day you will grow to be a man
You will always be my special one
And for now I will enjoy your soft hugs and kisses that make my heart
smile

Most of the trees here have dropped their leaves, except this
beauty! I guess she knows that she is special. She looks pretty and couldn't
stop admiring her beauty!
